Many people find philosophy too remote from everyday life. A cursory glance reveals otherwise.

Many working philosophers are already familiar with cosmetics. But there are other examples as well: bookstore (from Nathan Ballantyne’s webpage), travel agency (from Raul Saucedo’s facebook), and art gallery. Now that I have recovered photos of last summer’s travels, I wish to add another entry: fashion (by intuition alone).

A Priori

Can you think of other worldly philosophical enterprises? Let me know!

Update 03/29/08: If you go to the company’s homepage, it says (in German), “Welcome to the a priori world!” I find that pretty amusing. But not nearly as amusing as (as Lina found), a priori business solutions.

Update 04/02/08: I just saw, and ate, some Choco Leibniz biscuits from the commons room. They’re actually named after the philosopher though. But for their deliciousness, I put them up here nevertheless.
